LACK OF INTEREST
On the 1st December 2015, my geyser started leaking water into the house, with the water running down the walls & onto the carpets. I lodged a claim on the same day, and they fixed the leaking geyser the next day. I am still waiting for my property to be repaired. Now my tenant wants to leave. The Tenant's children are living out of boxes due to the cupboards being soiled by the water. The home smells of mould, and is unpleasant.

After the 5th call they sent out the carpet merchant who wanted to replace the damaged carpets, but could not replace them because the ceilings, walls and cupboards have to be repaired/replaced first.

I have called Standard bank on 6 (Six) occasions, have sent emails that never get answered. They promised to sort out my problem on several times. I even had Standard Bank call the tenant to calm them down. They made promises to the tenant, but nothing has happened. Because the water flooded some of the carpets, and the extended undue delay, the children were forced to walk on the wet carpets, and as a result thereof most of the carpeting in the home is now soiled.

If the tenant moves out, I will be financially ruined.

Please help.
