Its near impossible to close an account
I've now been struggling for a week to close my credit card at Standard Bank. It's paid off completely, actually it has a plus balance. Now I am struggling to get it closed, seems that its impossible for Standard Bank to just close an account, they need to drag it out, they probably want to make sure that some made up bank fee can go off so that they can bill me again. Do your job! Your call centre is borderline useless!
