It is not much, but it is still mine!

There seems to be an issue with the lotto winnings I am supposed to receive in my account.

I played Powerball on 04/06/2024 using my Standard Bank App. I pay upfront for the entire month so that I don't have to play individually during the month. On 04/06/2024, I had two numbers and the Powerball on Powerball + (Winnings: R9.80). I haven't received that money yet.

On Saturday, 15/06/2024, I had three numbers on Lotto +2 (Winnings: R25.00). I haven't received this money either. These are not large amounts, but I still expect them to be paid into my account. I couldn't take any screenshots of my lotto tickets on my Standard Bank App, so I just wanted to ask if you could investigate this matter, please.

I received a call from Standard Bank regarding my issue with non-payments of lotto winning tickets. A Social Media Moderator at Standard Bank, informed me that Standard Bank acts as an intermediary between the client and Ithuba Lottery, and Ithuba must be held accountable for the non-payment. I understand this to some extent, but on the other hand, I think it would be better to avoid the middleman and play my lotto directly at the supermarket. At least then, I won't pay any extra charges (banking fees) for playing lotto directly on the Ithuba platform through Standard Bank. I will definitely change the way I do things in the future. I will rather use Capitec Bank for on-line shopping and purchases.
