International fee 2.75% !!

I recently made online purchases in Rand and Standard Bank still went ahead and charged 2.75% "international fee" even though there was no forex conversion. The payment was made in ZAR!

The other banks don't charge FX fees if payment was done in ZAR. What makes Standard Bank so special that they are entitled to rob people?
