insufficient fund charges

On the 15th of December 2018, a debit for Telkom mobile was declined, apparently due to insufficient funds. My statement from standard bank shows that there was money in the account. The standard bank call centre logged my query and I was refunded the insufficient funds penalty. However, the midlands mall branch manager refuses to pay for the R202.70 that was charged by Telkom due to insufficient funds. She went on and on explaining to me the rocket science of hanging or pending balances, banking dates etc. even when I produced screen shorts of the app showing available funds she did not bother. Standard bank, why do you acknowledge and reverse the bank charge due to insufient funds but refuse the consequences resulting from that mistake? However, if you want to explain the rocket science of banking, don’t bother to explain, I only understand the statement.

Thank you for resolving this issue. I really felt let down by Standard bank and it was painful searching for a new bank after about 19 years banking with you. The refund now reflects on my account. Thank you.
