Inside Job

The more I think of this tale, the more I get convinced there was some foul play invloved.

Few months ago I opted to buy a vehicle from someone whom I was referred to by a friend of mine, I met with the candidate to discuss the sale and agreed (verbal agreement) on the price of R35000.00, I transferred R30000.00 into his account (10/04/2016) and was to pay the remainder once all the paperwork is ready.

I then left the car at my friends place as it was not in a good condition to drive from Klerksdorp to Johannesburg. A few days later the owner of the car asked for the car so he can sort out the paperwork and left another car as collateral, later on he then informed me that he no longer selling the car, I asked for refund.

In order to retrieve the car he had to refund me: On the 16/05/2016 I recieved cheque deposit notification of R30000 at approximately 13:25 I then released the car I held as collateral as I could see the money was in my account and was able to transfer the money to my credit card, on the same day around 16:00 the money was retracted from my account with "Cheque Deposited Unpaid" message. When I enquired to the call center, I was adviced that the client requested an immediate clearance (which comes with a fee) thus the money reflected on my account instantly but was retracted once it was reliased that the depositors account had no funds, this is where it does not make sense to me, how is it that a credit is made to the recepient's account prior to the depositers account is validated of equivalent funds?

If this' Standard Bank's cheque handling process, alot of people are to be de*****ed, if this is NOT the process, then this matter should be investigated.

To date I'm awaiting my money.
