Insensetive, arrogant and disrespectful to the law protecting the deceased estates

I hereby wish to alert the nation, mainly the department of Justice of the appaling and insensetive handling of my joint bond account with late ex-husband's and father of my kids, by Standard Bank Estate's Department. Firstly let me indicate that Estate matters are highly sensetive and should be handled under the guidance of the Master the Master of High Court( Dept of Justice), regardless of the merit of the matter. In this regard all staff members in this department are expected to function and deal with family lawfully and with respect.

Despite the above requirements, I am disspointed to report that my expereince with one of the standard bank Estate departmetn consultant by the name of Mariaan De Wet was so rude to me on the day of my enquiry as the 50% owner of the house in discussion. Mariaan and the team contravened every law of handling the deceased estates by divulging information to stangers and discussing matters informing future actions of the house without t the involvement of the sole owners of the house i.e. the executor (standing on behalf of the deceased as required by law), and the partner in mortage bond.

I my understanding, by law, no one other than the executor reserves the right to information pertaining to the status of the house of the deceased other than the executor at least.

Upon discovering this matter, the bank could not provide the executorship letter giving them the right to divulge such sensetive information to the public. Instead the consultant was so rude, defencive and insensetive.

I therefore wish to inform the management of Standard Bank (Estate Account Dept) that thier poor service in this regard is appaling and disrespectful to the instruction of the Master of High Court.

I appeal to the management and leadership of Standard Bank to treat their clients with respect and to take South African Law serious.
