Indebt due to defensive lending
Good day

In September 2015 I app**** for a bond from Standard Bank. During their process of before granting a bond the complex was declined due to financials indicated insufficient cash, high debtors ,high creditors and deficit reserves, therefore the bond transaction was considered risky and would have not been granted under normal circumstances, but because the current bond was already with Standard bank client then they considered defensive lending. This means transfer of risk from their current client to me. The bank has nothing to loose as they already carry the risk of the bond. Due to the bank not declining the bond due to the risk they granted the bond anyway. Now I am forced to continue with the purchase as the bank granted the loan but because I was not willing to take defensive lending due to the risks I am liable to pay wastage costs to the conveyances attorneys , 50% commission to the agents, possible 50% on behalf of the seller and possible legal action against me from the seller. I feel like I was not treated fairly as a client. The bank looked after their interest not mine.
