Incorrect banking details given by Agent

VERY IRATE CUSTOMER

I am writing this mail after numerous phone calls and understanding for over a month and a half.

In July 2020 I was retrenched from work. I was able to pay for the Student loan until January 2021 which I subsequently fell into arrears.

In April 2021 I received a call from the collections department by a gentleman by the name of Stanley Louw. Which I advised that I had found temporary employment and that from 7th May 2021 I will be able to make full payment of the arrears amount. There was a PTP loaded and I even confirmed that on the 7th May 2021 there will be a debit order of R1675. I then asked him for the banking details should I have a need to pay extra into the same account. I was given the following account numbers:

*** Ref: ***5.

THESE ARE THE BANKING DEATAILS THAT I GOT FROM YOUR AGENT. I CONFIRMED TWICE IF THESE WERE THE CORRECT ACCOUNT NUMBER.

On the 7th May 2021, only R525 was debited from my CAPITEC account. I then made a payment of R1050 to the above mentioned account number.

I was surprised that to date I was receiving calls that the account is in arrears.

I spoke to Abongile and sent him the proof of payment. He then advised that the reversal will be made by the Admin Department. I again followed up and Sharon told me the same thing that she will escalate the matter and that the reversal was still not done. I then called again and again spoke to Abogille and he told me the same thing that Admin department still had not completed the reversal and he would escalate.

Today again I am getting calls that the account remains in arrears and that the reversal still has not been done.

Now tell me this:

1. What am I suppose to do when I got the banking details from a staff member that works for Standard Bank? 2. How long does it take till Admin has resolved this? 3. I want the call that Stanley Louw did to be pulled (all calls are recorded) and to be listened to to hear that I did not make up the banking details myself. That indeed he did give me those details and that indeed I did confirm with him if theses were the correct banking details.

I WANT THIS MATTER RESOLVED ASAP BECAUSE THE AMOUNT OF CALLS WE GET ON A SINGLE DAY ARE JUST RIDICULOUS.

Regards ***
