<p>My father went to the Southgate branch to ask them to release his 32 day savings and he was told the money will be available on the 25th September 2016. Today he went back to the bank to access the funds and was told that the banker did not place the notice to release the money. He must now pay R400 to release the funds but it was the banker who made a mistake. He also requested the banker to acivate sms notifications on his account but the banker did not do that. He then went to the JHB branch and they did it for him. He is an old disable man, its very difficult for him to go to the bank. it is very disappointing to see the level of service that your bankers provide to elderly people and expect them to take the blame for their incompetence. Someone must fix this error as soon as possible and ensure that the money is released by close of business tomorrow. I am going to log a complaint with ombudsmen if its not done.
