Incompetence from staff and automative system
I was retrenched 6 months ago, and I claimed from the Standard bank insurance dept for my personal loans and credit card. The insurance paid a lump sum for my personal loans accounts, for 6 months in advance. The credit card was paid 3 months in advance, and again for 3 months after that. After 2 months, I received phone calls from attorneys, saying that my personal loan accounts have been handed over, due to non-payment, but yet the insurance company paid for these loans 6 months IN ADVANCE. I have had phone calls from St. bank and the attorneys every month since. I have gone into several branches to try to resolve this, but the only answer I got every time, is that they could not help me. I was told that their system requires monthly payments for the account not to be behind. Then why does the insurance pay out a lump sum for the 6 months in advance?! Surely I am not the first person claiming from St.bank's insurance for personal loans?!!! According to Personal loans, I am 6 months behind on payment, yet the insurance paid for 6 months in advance. My credit card account is also behind according to them, but was also paid in advance. Can St.bank please wake up and sort this out!!!
