IN BRANCH ONLY

Why, in this day and age, does a bank still require you to go into a branch to perform certain matters. Ridiculous and outdated.

Dear Gavin

Mobile banking is a revolutionary tool that lets you stay on top of your finances 24/7.

But that does not mean in-person banking has gone by the wayside.

There are plenty of times when it is preferred or even necessary to visit your local branch and speak to someone face-to-face.

Kindly advise reasons for branch referral.

Kindest regards, Standard Bank Hello Peter Team ***

I was advised that I had to go into a branch to change the cell number that the pin's are sent to for online banking and on online purchases. What can be achieved face to face that cannot be achieved on a call?

Hello Gavin

We appreciate you responding to us. Due to the need for updating personal information using client finger print biometrics, which can currently only be done in our branches, personal information like as email, address, and telephone numbers must be protected against all *****-related queries.

Once this information is accurate, you can make changes to your account's communication or OTP settings.

The bank is accountable for upholding confidentiality and safeguarding the data of its clients.

Thanks, but it would be easier to change banks, than going to a branch and standing in a mile long queue.
