Impossible to open an electronic notice deposit savings account

I've been with standard bank for over a decade and I have several accounts with them including a Prestige account. However, I've never been more frustrated with their service in all my time banking with them. For the past 4 days I've been trying to open their new electronic notice deposit savings account via Telephone/IB/App (The acc needs to be opened electronically for better interest rate). I tried Internet Banking but it seems to still have the old 32 Day Notice Deposit. They can't even update their own systems. I even tried the latest version of their app but received an error (We're sorry. An error ocurred).

I've made about 20 phone calls. Most of the time they refer you to another number who refers you back to the original one. Impossible to find a branch number and when I did, it just rang. I've tried the Call Me Back option on their site many times and every time they call me, I answer and they or their system hangs up after a few seconds. Somehow, they managed to call my wife the first time with no issues to open the same account.

I really dont know what else to do. I've tried every number I could find and every option on those terrible automated systems. Please can somebody assist me or give me a direct number to call (one that doesn't just ring). If you are arranging for a consultant to call me, please ask them not to give up until they actually speak to me. Thanks.

I received a call from the Standard Bank Complaints department. They mentioned they would get back to me. Still awaiting a resolution.

Hi there, thanks for the assistance so far but please can you ask your product team to call me as you sent them my details 2 days ago and I've not yet heard from them. Alternatively, if you can provide me with a direct line contact number, I will give them a call. Thanks.

After over 30 phones calls and requests over the last 2 weeks, I have just opened an account. However, it wasn't due to the complaints dept as the product team never called me. It was due to one of my many call me back requests. I have to say Standard Bank use a terrible system/procedure to call clients. A phone machine seems to randomly choose from the list and dials the number on its own and then connects them to the consultant if they are lucky, it usually just hangs up. And that is your ONLY way to get a hold of them.
I will definately lay a complaint with the OBSSA regarding Standard Bank's false advertising. They offer a slightly higher interest rate when you open the account electronically on your own yet no such option exists so you are forced to accept the lower rate as even if you open the account by phone. I don't blame the consultants as there's not much they can do on their side. But the bank should not offer things if they don't exist. One of the reasons I've been trying to do this by phone for 2 weeks, rather than visit the bank, was that I wanted the electronic version of the account yet after all this headache, even that wasnt possible and I had to take the lower rate.
I practically tried to throw my money at Standard bank but it seems they have too many customers and are trying to stem the flow of new accounts/clients. If its this difficult for an existing customer of 12 years to open q new account, how much harder is it for a new client who could certainly opt for other banks rather than struggle for several days/weeks.
Add this to their false advertising and it paints a bleak picture for the bank going forward. I understand that this may be not be happening all the time but their archaic processes and systems need to be revamped especially the call centre. And please, can somebody please show the relevant managers/product owners the Standard Bank website because what is advertised there is not available on the Internet Banking or mobile app portals. This is gross negligence on their part. Unsuspecting clients would simply open the 32 Day Notice Deposit Account (old one, 32 Days Only Notice Period) thinking that they are opening the new Notice Deposit Account (7, 14, 21, 32, 45, 60 Days Notice Period). The new account also has must better interest rates and every consultant you speak to says to open the account via internet banking or the app which is misleading.
Please don't bother calling me as it would amount to nothing and you would just be wasting my time. Rather escalate this to the relevant managers/superiors to sort out your banking products.
