Immediate payments made impossible without app by Standard Bank

Since when has it become impossible to make immediate payments with Standard Bank ONLY via using the app? What about account holders who do not carry smart phones? Why an immediate payments not be done as always?This is not as a result of protecting customers, since it actually makes it more attractive for ******* to attack someone since the bank app makes it possible to commit ***** from on the app, where doing internet banking form a laptop is much safer since users dont carry it everywhere around and not having access to internet everywhere. This is not a safety measure. Why did Standard BAnk not officially inform account holders and why do we need to discover this when trying to make a payment?
