Im a mother of 2!!!!! How do I fix this fast?

I went to a standard bank ATM this mornin and withdrew a R2000 from an ATM in Golden Acre Cape Town CBD. The bank slip came out of the ATM but no money came out. This happed to 2 people that drew money after me aswell. I then went into the bank and was given just a refeence no definite date for when this will be resolved. I spoke to the bank manager who told me that a problem had been reported with that ATM the night before this. Why was the ATM not shut down at that point??? and why can nobody at the bank give me a direct answer??? dont they have stuff like surveilence camera's?? I am a single mother of 2 and that R2000 is half my salary!! Ive been crying about this and really just want to deal with a bank that understands my dillemma!!
