Illiciting kickbacks from insurance premiums loaded.

What is the point of buying a property to save oneself from 10% annual rental increase and not being able to afford rental soon when through entire process not once was I approached about "compulsory" assurance on a property of less than R 500 000 ? Its illogical that the premium loaded as assurance the culprit is towards unaffordablility of the repayment. What was it calculated on as I signed a otp and not a medical check up or insurance form ?!? Underwritten by Liberty and neither has presented me with a signed copy of policy let alone the document where I agree and authorise the deduction. Surely this constitutes breech of popi act as my information without my permission was given to a third party of which I was not informed. Nowhere does it state it is compulsory, it states Standard Bank "may request". Look up meaning of request.
