******* deducting debit order

Standard Bank send an SMS to inform clients that debit orders that are usually deducted the last day of the month will be deducted on the 14th December. I immediately phoned to say that it is not acceptable. They just went on and deducted the debit order. I complained and asked to reverse the payment because it made a mess of my budget. It seems that they can take your money *******ly in a moment's time but need a week to give it back. In the mean time the bank doesn't mind what you need to pay your day to day expenses. I have told them that I didn't give permission and still they went on and did what they wanted to. Speaking to consultants is of no use because they are " so sorry about what happened and they realise there is so many people in the same position" but they still can't do anything to help you. By the time they will be able to help me it will be near the original time of the debit order.I suppose they knew that very well when they made the decision to deduct the debit orders earlier. I hope that other people reading this with the same experience will also write to the FSCA to report Standard Bank as I will.
