******* Debit Orders. Why is this bank reactive not pro active when being informed about *****?

I received an sms from a company called Stratton/STRATON informing me that they will be debiting my account with an amount of R126,69 cents. As i check my statements diligently on a monthly basis I realized that I did not know who this people where and I did not agree on any sales with them. I first contacted the call center and I told them that there is a company wanting to debit my account and I wanted them to block the said company from even accessing the account. The consultant says to me I need to inform the bank 7 days before the debit order goes through. I told the misinformed consultant that the debit order is **********, then he said there is nothing he can do. REALLY? I then took my time to find the standard bank ***** department wherein another gentleman said to me he deals only with card and cheque account ***** not debit orders like this. Clearly this bank and other bank should look at the internet to see that this STRATON company is ********** and all they simply have to do is to block it for all customers. But no, they choose to say to me I must wait until the ******* transaction goes through my account and then call them again so that they can reverse the transaction. This is just plain backward thinking and I am wondering on why the shareholders and customers are still paying ppl who cannot be pro-active. STOP THE TRANSACTION ON YOUR SYSTEMS BEFORE IT EVEN GOES THROUGH. that will save men hours and my time and the time it takes to be calling this bank.
