I have struggled for years to stop a debit order for automotive insurance that I do not have. Standard Bank have not responded to instructions from the banking ombudsman to stop the debit order with code MLB-CCD. I have closed the account, but it was just reactivated as was the debit order. Every month I have to pay a R40 fee to reverse what amounts to R1600.
