Idiocy reigns supreme at South Africa's worst bank

Once again Standard bank leaves me speechless. During the month of February I was contacted by attorney's stating that my account was overdue, I lodged a complaint and was advised by Nkululeko Sithole that this entire debacle was due to the fact that I had not paid my credit card during the month of December despite the fact that I had been double paying in order to accommodate the non payment I had anticipated. I accepted this logic with grace despite my initial thought that this call was related to a long standing battle with Standard Bank to remove a bill in connection with a Blue bean card I had paid up in 2015. I should have trusted my instinct...fast forward and bang it is related to the card and here's the kicker its STILL SHOWING ON MY ITC CREDIT RECORD 2YEARS AFTER BEING PAID OFF. I got promised that this was removed what bull. Is Standard Bank now in the business of selling lies. Are your agents so lazy and *********** that they don't delve into clients complaints and simply just assume the obvious answer without checking to see if claims have some validity. Thank God for Charlene at Nedbank Tokai for bringing the matter to my attention and to Kathlego at Sterling Debt Recovery for confirming that the account has in fact been paid up and for informing me that Standard Bank was notified that the debt was fully paid and had the sole duty of informing the credit bureau accordingly. It begs me to question do your agents just send out generic responses to close tasks for the day. Do you actually teach the concept of customer care these days. I have been **** to and told that this was removed from my name. Where to now Standard Bank? I expect an immediate resolve as my next step is the Ombundsman, this farce has gone on way too long. For the record close your call centre because they clearly don't ever pick up there phones. I have been kind and understanding long enough said thank you and pleaded for assistance. No more! You are messing with people's livelihoods Standard Bank.

Sort this mess out!
