I want to close my account

Good day, I have a current account with Standard Bank and I want to close my account. But after contacting the bank they advise me to pay the amount due in order to close the account. The amount has now rise to R800 and still piling up. I tried to phone the call center twice to arrange a payment plan in order for me to get rid of Standard bank and their fees. The first time the send me over to another department and call was drop. The second call the agent could not hear, and hanged up. Please, can someone email me rather on. they do have my details.
