I don't even have the right to close my own account but are forced into paying more banking fees !!

We don't even have the right to close our account! We don't have a Standard bank in our town and have to drive to another town if we have problems. For the last 3 weeks we were there twice to try and close our accounts but the service is poor and not even customer care could help us after all the paperwork were up to date to just CLOSE the account! The keep adding new reasons why we have to make a personal trip there again- costing us a R100 each time. Not to mention that the took the last sent we had for "banking fees" on an account that owed them nothing. How do they have the right to tell us what we should do with our money? And how do they have the right to NOT CLOSE an account that the customer requests to close????

Don't you worry if I don't get this problem solved fast I will make more noise somewhere else too because it should be against the law to force more banking fees on someone who did all your paperwork as asked and still did not get the help needed.
