How long does it take to 'zero-rise' an account??

How long does it take to 'zero-rise' an account?? I settled my personal loan account on the 31st Aug, received a paid up letter on the 4th of October and yet the account still reflects as unpaid on my credit profile, at each follow up I'm told the account still needs to be 'zero-rised', surely this is not a month long function. Can someone please see to it that this account is closed and my credit profile updated immediately. ACC NR ********** 35
