How is this okay?
How is this okay? I recently drew R23,000 out of my revolving credit account to fund some home repairs.
I noticed today that the monthly 'interest' on the account was higher than anticipated.
I then saw that Standard Bank has suddenly started charging credit life insurance on the account which I have now had for over 20 years.
Zero authorization from me on what I understand is a discretionary product.
How is this OK? If anyone else set up an unauthorized debit on my account I'd get a call from the Standard Bank ***** dept, but this is okay?
Almost every single interaction I have with this bank is negative.
