House Insurance not willing to proved service but more than willing to take the money
<p>"Sorry" to do this, but Standard bank limited my options... "Sorry". On 18/03/2017 at about 6pm I noticed that there is water coming out of my roof. When I investigated I found that it is my geaser that is leaking water. I then switched off my geaser and closed the water going to it, but the water didnt stop leaking. I knew that I will not get any service now, so I thought it best to leave it like this until the Next Monday. Sunday moring we needed warm water to clean ourselfs, so I opened the valve again, and switched on the geaser and since this didnt make a differance to the water flowing outside, I left all as it was. Later that same Sunday night something else went wrong. Alot more water started to pour out from another place in the roof. I then closed all water Valves and switched off the geaser, and this made the 2nd water stop, but the 1st one just kept going. Monday I contacted Standard Bank House insurance to make a claim. The lady reported that the call number will be send to me and a service provider will be notified. I waited until Friday with water still pouring out from once place in my roof and called Standard Bank again. This time they said that the 1st lady never logged the call since she didnt know what my area Dail code is, even though they have a branch in my town. They also confirmed that they have ALL my contact details, but they never contacted me. So the 2nd lady logged a call and informed me that THEY will NOTIFY the service provider, after she gave me like 10 "Sorry-s". I received my Claim number and the supplier's contact details. But nobody showed up with water still pouring out. Now remember, I have 2 children, one 2 and the other 5, 1 week... who needs to be cleaned every day, since my wife is very strict about this... So we had to go to other people to wash our 2 kids for a week now, making other people's and my water bill run higher than normal. This morning I contacted the supplier even tough my bank said they will do it. They said that they where never contacted. Only after I gave then the Claim number, not my bank AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD, they gotten all my details and is only now starting to arrange an appointment. Now if it wasnt for the 1st very unprofessional excuse Standard Bank gave me, I would have blamed the supplier, but it is clear that Standard Bank are just one of those banks who are more than willing to over charge you and take your money, but when they need to deliver on a promice, that is when the true colors started to shine. But you see, in this case I will have a very nasty water bill also, but Standard bank will probibly just say "Sorry. But we dont care since we cant be bothered" (Just like the 2nd time I contacted them... "Sorry" must be worth a lot in Standard Bank's eyes, since that is ALL I RECEIVED! I'm sure that my Municipality doesnt take the "Sorry" currancy... Just wonder where the money will come from for my water bill... But hey... "Sorry"). Claim number (since your people cant even google a dail code, I will probibly have to make it easier for you, s**** feed you "Sorry") 17/022382 (Hope your system works... Oh... "Sorry"?). I probibly made you a "Sorry"-naire with this review... Your welcome!</p>
