Hounouring fee

I am not happy with Standard Bank. I was using Access account for so many years and never experienced poor customer service and unknown fees on my account. Then with My Mo account has this unknown transaction called hounouring fee of R100 and which I did not know about and I don't know why it was charged for. I've complained about this few days but no resolution about this matter. I'm closing this account.

Hello Tsholofelo,

Thank you for getting back to us.

As previously explained, the honoring fee is app**** when there are insufficient funds in your account to cover a transaction, or if delayed card transactions are processed when funds are unavailable.

In some cases, this may be due to banking fees that were not accounted for, which can lead to a shortage when the merchant processes their payment.
Please note that all fees charged on cheque accounts can impact the available balance for merchant reserves, which could result in the honoring fee.

To assist you further, we have escalated your case to our agents, who will be reaching out shortly to provide additional information and help resolve the matter.

Thank you for your patience, and please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Kindest regards,
