Horrible service

Hi

I took a personal loan for R5000 from Standardbank and at the branch I was advised that no interest will be charged if I pay the loan within 30 days. I took the loan on the 29 May 2017. On the 19 June 2017, I went to Randburg Standardbank and I was assisted by a lady by the name of K Sekwati. On the document she gave me stated that the settlement amount needs to be paid within 5 working days. The document had a break down of the payments, it stated that I was suppose to pay R5840.52 which was for:
interest accured: R109.48
insurance:RR18.54
fees: R68.40

I then paid R4500 the same day and the remaining amount was RR1213.97.I then received a message on my phone on the 23June 2017 advising that I was debited R391.93 , I then went to the Standardbank branch at 9:00 am and the was a board outside the branch advising that the systems were offline. I then went to the Brakpan branch and when I got there the systems were still not working. The lady at the counter advised that the settlement amount was still R1213.97 as the debit order for R391.93 has not reflected on my loan account she then advised me to go to Shankar who was advised to debit me less by the debit order amount however he got an error and asked me to call 0 ********** 23. I tried a couple of times and I was told that the system was still offline. I then called again and spoke to Mono from the loans department who advised that I was being billed incorrectly and that because the debit order was not reflecting I should call the next day and ask to speak to her. I asked if the bank will not penalize me as the settlement date was the same day I was speaking to her, she said I should not worry as the access loan settlement amount expires after 7 days.
Today the 24 I called Standard/Standard bank and spoke to a gentleman who advised me that excluding the R391.93 I was still required to pay R1000? I advised him of what transpired yesterday but he kept telling me about interest charges and he kept me on hold for long then I asked to speak to manager and a lady by the name of Kgotso told me that as per t&c standard bank needs to charge me interest so I need to pay the amount. I asked her to quote the clause on the t&c and she said she doesn't know but she was still willing to explain. I asked her to put me through to Mono she then transferred me to a gentleman who whilst I was explaining my issue just asked for my I'd. When I told him that he was being rude he tried to give me excuses, I asked him to put me through to Mono and I put back on the que. I was on the call for more than an hour, I them contacted Standard bank on twitter at 8:51 am and the response I got was that my query was escalated and I will receive feedback and that was at 9:43am.

I can't believe I have to spend my resources get charged R50 for paying my loan plus interest just for try to settle a loan. This so in ethical and I wish it doesn't happen to anyone else
