HORRIBLE BANKING SERVICE

I have been de *****ed of funds, I had to go through various ways of trying to get this funds back, first from being given the incorrect information by two different consultants on how to get R22 000 bac****

Then eventually going through the process and having absolutely no feedback for weeks, I called Standard Bank so many times I have lost count, had so many different people dealing with my dispute and terrible customer service with absolutely no urgency... eventually to have it all boil down to someone EMAIL me back saying they are unable to assist and I should go through a different channel.

They didnt even bother to call me to explain why, just a simple e-mail! This does not make me feel like a valued customer and terrible service for such a personal matter.

Furthermore, in December prior to this entire dispute and ***** transactions, two days before Christmas, my card was unable to do any online payments, I could not do any EFT's and could not swipe my card anywhere, in which my card constantly got declined! I called Standard Bank to query why this was and no one was able to e\give me any explaination, instead said that "some" default happen on my account i which they are not able to change and that I need to go into a branch to have this resolved.

As you can imagine the nightmare of the situation as there were so many public holidays, two days before Christmas and where must I go to branch during holiday season that is actually able to assist.

The Consultant advised me that I can continue making withdrawals, to which I incurred monthly charges after going over my limit of 4 free withdrawals. Furthermore I had to go into a branch on three seperate occasions to eventually get this resolved, all in my lunch hour in which I got back to work late as of course one has to wait in lines, to also spend more money on ubers to get me down to the bank and up tp work back in time.

I've had a card replacement done, as suddenly a new consultant could not trace the dispute that was made on my account... very strange when I spent weeks calling Standard Bank for follow ups. I then was unable to get into internet banking on my account as the card number obviously changed, a 20 minute wait each time you call for even the smallest things, the consultant assisted me telephonically with resetting some information, so that I could make my pressing online payments, to which I no longer had a EAP limit! I had to spend another 20 minutes waiting for the next consultant to reset that for me as apposed to the first consultant informing me.

So far I have received an e-mail from Standard Bank saying my dispute amount has been credited to my account. Four days later nothing had reflected and therefore I had to call to inquire about this, the constultant was unable to give me the reason why I received this e-mail and said there is no credit pending to my account but would contact me back to clarify this issue... I did not receive a call back.

I have so much anger towards a bank that is suppose to represent, support and assist their clients. Standard Bank has been an absolute nightmare and all of this happened only within 4 months!!!

I would have changed banks earlier if it hadnt been for my patient pending car application.... however now that I have the vehicle, I think its time for a change.
