********** Service Just Keeps Getting Worse
Standard Bank admitted losing my title deed . This has resulted in a huge delay in the cancellation of my bond and transfer of the property to the new buyer . Everything was in place and the bond should have been cancelled by end October 2015 at the latest . Standard Bank was totally unresponsive to their own attorneys requests to obtain a replacement title deed and ignored repeated escalation messages from their attorney . Eventually after a complaint raised by me on this site Standard Banks attorney's requested yesterday requested that I complete and sign an affidavit and courier said affidavit to them at my expense even though the bank lost the title deed . I am arranging for the courier to collect today . Further I am told today that due to the long delay the Rates figures have expired and the attorney will need to apply to the council for new rates figures causing a further delay . All of which I will have to pay . The Bank has made no effort to refund the interest they are charging me on the bond which amounts to close on R5000 per month , not counting their monthly admin fee of R200 per month , property levies of over a R1000 . The absolute worst banking experience ever
