Hopeless hope for Standard Bank account holders
Please do yourself a favour avoid the disappointment and run around and hassles that you will experience by opening up a Standard Bank Business Account. Based on the scoring I should be able to qualify for a business loan even though your accounts can be conducted in a proper manner with a fairly decent turnover and still cannot get credit. My private banker does everything that she can to prove to the bank that the business can afford the finance but even my private banker gets messed around by their peers. The business is not a start-up business it’s a 5 year operational business since we have taken over but is in existence for 10 years. It seems as if where others have failed in the hospitality industry to meet their commitments to the bank we have to get punished for it, so what’s the use of banking with Standard Bank if they don’t look at individual merit but rather on industry survey. What a load of ****. I should have stuck with FNB where their bank charges were much lower but was willing to offer me finance, not what I wanted but they were willing to offer. SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION To also add Standard Bank has also managed to permanently scar my name on my personal capacity with outstanding arrears on 2 accounts which have been settled a year ago, yet I complained 2 months ago and is still not sorted out making it impossible for me to obtain finance from anywhere.
