HONOURING FEES

for a while now i have an honouring fee from standard bank. I asked my private banker and she says its when you have insufficient funds and the bank allows debits to go through. i then confirm which debit order is causing this just so i can make sure that i speak to the company and make sure that it doesnt happen going forward. Im then told its an actual swipe purchase. the whole reason i use a debit card is to use money i have. On this particular day i still even have the sms that shows i have money and still used my card at another store to show i still have funds. so i want to know how this happened and what is the point of a debit card if it goes into "an overdraft''... I want these fees reversed and not to be allowed on my card at all. If the card has no money like you say then decline the transaction. I stay away from the bank and dont bother them but standard bank has me looking at switching banks because your service is the worst. The other thing is ui want to change this nonsense of an account that you made sound lucritive and comes with a private banker. Ive seen how other private bankers work within my work team and mine leaves a sour taste in my mouth. If im going to be paying for something i want it to be useful to me
