Honouring fee debacle, stay away from SB at all costs

On 2 occasions, I have noticed a fee going off my account, there's no reference to this transaction as it's a display of numbers and alongside it, it's noted that it's an honouring fee. I have never heard. When I research this with another leading bank, I'm told it's when the bank pays on your behalf when you don't have enough funds. What the hell?! I never asked them to do that, let alone, when aware that I have no funds, my card should initially decline, not the bank paying it off for me. So these honouring fees put my account in arrears because it goes off when there is nothing left naturally, so now I'm left with a debt that accumulates further debt because the account is on a minus. This is not on and SB is *****ing me over on the purpose of making more money off of me. And these amounts are large. O will be paying that balance off because I know nothing will be done about it, and closing this **** show. What initially was supposed to be a savings account for me, turned out to be a nightmare in the end.
