Honouring fee
I am disappointed by Standard Bank , it is the second time this thing happens. That I am charged honouring fee of 150 for seven rand fifty cents of monthly fee. . I am closing this account . I don’t have debit orders on this account but I’m charged honouring fee for monthly fees. I have banked with Standard Bank for years and they don’t take me serious

The bank covers the shortfall to ensure the transaction is not declined, and the fee reflects that service.

Please also note that service fees charged to your account are deducted from your available balance, including any latest and available funds.
