Honouring Fee again

I am frustrated and angry with the response I received from Standard Bank. They simply wrote back to me what I had written to them, nothing new and so I will begin closing our accounts. My question was basically, does the punishment fit the crime. To re-iterate I checked my account balance before shopping and saw sufficient funds were in my Standard Bank consolidated account. I later found that an amount had not been shown by Standard Bank whilst awaiting clearance and I was not aware of that when checking the balance. For one day I was R340,58 over which I rectified immediately I had gone on to the Standard Bank web site. I did not delay. For this one day, with an amount less than R350 I was charged an Honouring Fee of R120.
How disgusting to do this to someone close to 70 years, what a shocking practice. What a high percentage penalty for such a small mistake brought about, as it is, by Standard Bank strange practices.
We have been customers since the 1970's but unless this is reversed, and quickly, not only I but my husband too will change to another bank. We will remove consolidated accounts, Stanlib, Money Market which now seems necessary judging by their response.
