Homeloans and using outdated information to analyse applications

It is with great frustration and annoyance that I even have to write this email. I have been a client of Standard Bank since 2002 and in the last 12 months I have noticed a great decline in service.

I am in the process of applying for a home loan. My current home loan with standard bank is under cancellation which means I will be homeless in abut 4 weeks. I attempted to apply for a standard home loan and I am told that my standard bank credit score is low. This is ridiculous because I have never skipped a payment on my home loan or any of my debt obligations. However, according to standard bank I did not pay my credit card in February and this is why I do not qualify for a 100% bond. Furthermore, standard bank has not updated my credit report since February which concerns me because this means that decisions are made on the basis of outdated information. Furthermore, because Standard Bank has notated this "non payment" it is also affecting my application with other banks. I am deeply disappointed and I am considering changing banks including close my online sharetrading account and moving to FNB.
