Homeloan with Standard Bank is a nightmare and not worth it

We took a homeloan to purchased land in 2008 using our CC.

The property was subsequently sold by the bank at auction and we were never informed of this auction. We have never been provided with a report or even outcome of the auction.

To our surprise we have a judgement in our names and are getting demands from lawyers for the full loan amount which does not make sense because the property was auctioned and we have a report from the deeds office that showed how much the property was sold for. Why would the lawyers claims the full loan amount after a consideration was received from sale of the bank? The lawyers currently demanding from us are Vezi De Beer.

We recently contacted Standard Bank and requested for a full report of the auction, we spoke to an Elias Seqhofa who requested us to send an email to his email address to no response, meanwhile our names and credit records are being tarnished.

How does the bank auction a property without knowledge of the owner? How do their lawyers claim the full loan amount regardless of selling the property? How do they not respond to our emails?

It is a huge financial and personal risk to take a homeloan with Standard Bank, I would not advice anyone to do it.
