Homeloan payment not taken as part of monthly instalment

I was notified by Standardbank that my homeloan rate was amended to normal customer rates in July 2016. I was well prepared for this, however since the new installment was not communicated to me, I continued to pay the normal R1800 that I was paying towards the homeloan. After 31 August I was notified that the installment will be in the region of R2600 I transferred another R1000 to the homeloan to bring the account in line with the new installment requirements.

I received a call from your Homeloan collection advised that my bond is in arrears with R1600 which did not make sense as according to my calculations the amount due was R2600 and if I take off the R1800 and the R1000 that was paid towards the July installment, the bond should have been in advance. The consultant who contacted me advised that the R1800 that I paid in July did not count towards my monthly repayment as the payment was made before the restructure on the account, and if I made the payment after month end the account would have been regular. If this was communicated to me I could have held back on the payment and not sit with this issue.

There is no debit order on the account and if you check the trend on the account the payment is normally in the region of the 25th of each month ads this is on file with SBSA.

I do not understand how the R1800 I have paid towards my homeloan installment is not taken into account and I have been advised that the payment I made was towards a capital reduction on my account.

Please investigate as a matter of urgency as it was communicated to me that my credit worthiness is being affected due to this as the consultant wanted to negotiate an arrangement to repay the arrears on the account and I feel that I made the monthly payments and due to your system my account is showing arrears.
