Homeloan application process is a joke!

I have an excellent credit record. Got offered a homeloan from Nedbank, Absa, and SA Homeloans. However, i bank with std bank so its easier to transact within one banking platform. This bank which i have been a customer for now 28 years has the worst service and obsolete procedures. I can warn people to not waste their time with poor service and go shopping elsewhere. I cannot understand how they can take 36 days and counting to finalise a straight forward application. How come three other institutions can do it within 10 days? What is the benefit of staying with std bank? I am happy that Discovery will be starting a bank. With Capitec and Discovery, std bank will re-think how they treat their customers. Absolutely no loyalty shown by the bank.
