Good day,

I really need assistance. I took out a home loan with Standard Bank in May 2021. Once my bond was registered and finalized my first debit order was between December 2021 and January 2022. Since then my home loan rate has changed about 8 times now within 15 months from R 5300.00 to R 6700.00 .This was never explained to me when I took the home loan. I am so unhappy because my initial home loan after Government subsidy was R 5400.00. I sent emails to standard bank complaints and never received any feedback. I called the their contact center several times and was advised unfortunately they are unable to assist because of repo rates and I bought the house during Covid. I was advised by the consultant to fix my home loan rate I need to pay a higher rate. I would like someone to look into the matter and provide the solution as to how can this issue be resolved because I'm not sure by the end of this year I will end up paying how much. I'm so disappointed and feel like this is a ******* especially in this difficult times we are live in.
