If anyone is looking for a Homeloan, my advice would be not to apply at Standard Bank. They have consultants locally to assist with the loan application but once you have been paying your Homeloan for years and there is an issue on their side, you have no one to assist. Only a call centre. Each time you call, you need to explain your situation to a different person (one can imagine the frustration). Even going into the local bank, the consultant has to call the call centre; makes one question their value? So while your credit rating declines (from not fault of yours but rather the banks processes), no one responds to emails and there is NO face to talk too. So how does one move Banks?
