Home Loan Switch to Nedbank proving impossible
On the 14th of October 2014 we called Standard Bank call centre to find out how to go about in switching our home loan to Nedbank as I am in the employ of Nedbank. We were told we need to submit a 3 months notice in writing and given an email address to use which we did. After a week of no response, we called again and were given the run around in that the email address we used was incorrect despite it having been given to us by 3 call centre agents. Only in January 2015 out of the blue were we notified that our notice will expire in April 2015. We refuse to accept that and sent an email to Head of Home Loans Steven Barker who never bothered to respond. At the time of writing this report on HelloPeter, we had sent an email to Funeka Ntombela (Montjane) who is the Chief executive. I fail to understand as to why our first request was not executed then. Response was only given after Nedbank had requested attorneys to facilitate the transfer. Why? Somebody, do your job. There are countless emails from us. Go read them and get context.
