Home Loan Debit

<p>This query relates to my home loan account with Standard Bank. I paid up my Home Loan account in Apr 2009 - at which point I requested the life insurance to be cancelled as I no longer needed it. The bank asked that I write a letter to cancel the life insurance - which I wrote on 6th of Apr 2009 and faxed it through - I still have the letter to forwad to you if needed.<br /> <br />There was an annual insurance amount debited to my account around Jun 2009 - long after I had the insurance cover cancelled. The amount has since accumulated interest. I have been querrying this debit with the bank for years now (since 2009) - with no success.<br /> <br />I have called and sent email numerous times over the years. I was promised by the bank in Aug 2016 that the account will be cancelled and my title deed sent to me once that is done. This has not happened to date. When I called this week - I was told the matter is with their legal department. I do not know how I can get the bank's attention in resolving this query as this will affect my credit rating as well.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please let me know if you need further information.</p> <p> </p> <p>Best Regards</p>
