Home Loan application still pending 2 weeks later

I submitted a home loan application on 13 December and to date I have not received feedback despite following up everyday. Today I was informed that the agent handling my application is on leave. I am aware that people take leave during December but applications should be handed over to someone else because an offer to purchase is subject to obtaining finance approval within a specific timeframe. Im now in a position where my offer to purchase could expire and I will lose the property as a result. It is not unreasonable to expect feedback on the status of an application that was submitted 2 weeks ago. Im very disappointed by the lack of service from Standard Bank.
