Home loan application process a nightmare

I have recently had a home loan approved with Std Bank and have experienced disappointing service from the word go! We have finally had an attorney appointed by Std Bank,from their panel however the attorney fees are fairly high. I called the homeloan dept this am and spoke to a consultant, Masepeka and then he team leader, Henrietta Khange who told me they cannot have the attorney changed and one of the reasons is there are fees incurred by the bank when this happens. The current apopointed attorney has not started processing any work yet and I cannot see why we are not able to get a list if attirneys on the panel or quites frim 3 or 4 different attorneys before this point is reached in the hime loan process. This would be beneficial to the client as then the best fee has been ibtaibed firvthem and will also not pose a delay in thebprocesd.The most frustrating part is that when you go through to a call centre you have to repeat your story and don't have someone that you can deal with face to face or an appointed car manager. The consultants are lethargic and robotic to say the least and none of them are willing to step out of the norm and deliver phenomenal service!
