Home Loan account in Technical arrears

Hello Peter

I recently app**** got a new Home Loan account with standard bank. I have realised that I have been technically listed by Standard Bank due to my first instalment which was not supposed to go in the first place. When I call standard bank they told me that they will rectify it and I even got a message that the turn around time for them to call me is the 10th of August 2016. Which has now elapsed.

Basically what happened is that, I signed the happy letter on the 20th of July and everything was finalised by the bank on the 27th and that was last amount paid to the builder and I also had to pay for shortfall as I did not cater for Interest which accumulated as they say. I then moved into the house on the 1st of July 2016. I got an SMS indicating that my home loan account is in areas around the 20th. When I called Home Loan, I was told it was a technical error and they will rectify it and that’s when they told me that the turnaround time will be the 10th of August 2016 and still today nobody bothered to call me. I sent Email through to Home Loan nobody responded except for automatic reply I got. I have been spending almost like 40min on a call with no resolution and have been calling in almost like everday and now I am tired of calling them as im getting nowhere with this.My initial bond instalment went up from R5800 to R6400 and when I asked, i was told that is because the interest where not paid for. They requested me to pay for the shortfall to the builder which was interests accumulated and I did that but still they telling me the bond is inclusive of interests.

Some of the calls were closed without resolution.

********** 608 REF NUMBERS

My credit profile has been block and I cannot apply of anything as you know to move into a new house one will need to cater for lot of things. This has really dismantled me. I tried to increase my credit card, overdraft and everything declined, I ended up taking a revolving credit loan with an interest of 20% because of this technical arear fault they referring too because something was not done right. I asked for breakdown of ever penny paid out so that I can see the interests they talking about but still nobody responded. I ended up taking out money from my 32 days’ notice and had to be penalised R400 for just R3400 which is really a pain as all this was not my fault. As we speak my account is blocked or listed whatever that is.

I would like SBSA Home loan to rectify my account with correct instalment and want to be reimbursed my R400 I lost via my 32 days notice as my account was blocked and still blocked even today and no one is bothering to do a follow up
