Home Loan

I have been banking with standard bank for over 8 years. Everything I have I got through them.. from home loan, to VAF, personal loans, credit cards etc. I've been servicing my accounts for over 8 years and have never defaulted in any of my loans. I am settling my VAF account & my current house. Standard Bank just recently declined my application for a new house I wanted to buy based on affordability & bad record. I am very disappointed & saddened as I have been not only a loyal customer with them but also have been servicing my accounts monthly with no defaults for over 8 years. I've been looking for a new house for my family for over 2 years and have finally found a suitable home. How can I not afford the new house according to standard bank when the money I'm paying for my VAF & house currently (which I'm selling) is enough for the installments for the new house. Really disappointed with standard bank. This is a new development and the houses are only being built for next year at which time all my debts will be settled and I believe I can comfortably afford and pay the installments, just like I have for the past 8 years with my preferred bank - standard bank.
