Home Insurance claim 15/024781

Good day

I registered an insurance claim for a burst geyser and damage to ceiling and BIC with Standard bank on 31 March 2015

Stb have send out their supplier to write a report and to give a quote for the repairs and replacement of the damaged ceiling and BIC.I also had to wait because the supplier don't do bic so I had to wait for their contractor. when this was sorted and the quotes was send to Stb they appointed a assessor it is normal procedure .

I contacted the Assessor a few times and after 3 working days he only submitted his report to Stb then i waited again until the claim was approved.

When I assessed the report that was going to be paid out it was R8000 less that the original quotation when I questioned this by the assessor he had a lot of answers for my questions, what I cant understand how can you not pay out the ceiling in my passage and advise me that it is old damage but the geyser is on top in the roof of the ceiling that was damaged?

The Assessor does not want to help me with the reports and quote and to show me what Stb wants to pay out & Stb does not respond to my calls. Since last week Wednesday I was promised a team leader will contact me still nothing??
