HIGHANDED BANK AND BAD ATTITUDE

Sirs,

Normally at the beginning of a new month one has to provide one's bank with funds in order for them to settle one's debit orders. Standard Bank normally has a cut off time for such funds to be made available, this time normally being 19h00 on the evening during which the debit orders in question have to be settled. It from time to time happens that one is late in making such funds available. There can be various reasons for this, eg personal family reasons, eg internet lines which happen to be down and out of order. During the evening of the second of Febuary 2015 I failed to make funds available for my debit orders in good time, the main reason being that I had a personal family issue to attend to. At approximately 20h30 I realized my predicament and attempted to transfer funds to my bank account which I thought I had indeed done. At the same time I wrote a letter to my bank manager, one Gugu Mabena explaining the situation. This morning early I noticed that I had not made a proper transfer whereupon I corrected the situation and again wrote to Gugu Mabena, only to be emailed back telling me that debit orders had been returned.
