Hey SubStandard Bank, how much interest can I charge you for my sleep debt??

Before 04:00 this morning I get an sms indicating my credit card has been removed from Apple Pay "at my request" (never happened).

The contact no. indicated looks similar to the no. originally received when logging the card in December but not exactly the same.

I try to research online why this may have happened and then call ***** Dept. as a last resort but, whilst friendly, they can't help and say that I have to wait until 08:00 and call the relevant department.

I try the no. regardless and hang on for about 20 minutes. Nothing about being closed, just the "experiencing high call volumes" they love to use.

Call again at exactly 08:00, hang on and on and on and on again...every few seconds the same message about alleged "high call volumes".

Then check Twitter and see there's others now with the same issue.

If you can send out sms in the early morning hours, surely you can send out an explanatory sms indicating you're aware and dealing with the issue as well??
