GUARENTEE ISSUED WITHOUT CLIENT PERMISSION
I am amazed at how Standard Bank can pass the buck. We bought a property that registered on 25 February 2015. We questioned the interest payment and found out that the Attorneys requested Standard Bank to issue 2 guarantees in my name. My wife phoned the Customer Relations Department and spoke to Serisha Nagan, who advised that we need to take the matter up with the Attorney and that Standard Bank will not be able to help in this matter as. I requested her to send me an email to that effect, and she said NO. Our deposit was invested with Standard Bank, guarantees were issued in my personal name that I had no knowledge of but then the bank that actually issued the guarantees in my name is saying they cannot get involved. Really now, these are Attorneys and the bank I am talking bout here. So everyone can just do whatever they want, with whoever's name whenever they want to. I would understand if it was a smaller bank but we talking about one of the big banks of SA. I am not going to rest until this matter is resolved. Even if I have to phone every single complaint line there is in SA or post and repost on all social media about Standard Bank's ****py service I will.
